Predator Trap Monitor - Mystery Creek

Ōhaupō, Cambridge

We are aiming to make Mystery Creek Event Centre and the surrounding area predator free. We currently have a team of nine volunteers who check traps regularly but are now needing more help. The hours can vary and you must be comfortable with clearing dead animals, e.g. possum, rats and stoats, from traps and re-setting them.

Requirements:

You must be fit and able to access traps which may be down a bank.
Must be comfortable with clearing dead animals from the traps and resetting them.
You need transport to get to Mystery Creek which is not served by public transport.
This role suits someone who enjoys being outdoors and has a responsible approach to working safely and sensibly within our environment.
