Board Member


The YWRC is dedicated to empowering young people to have positive employment experiences through education, advocacy, and representation. Governance board member role duties are:

  • To attend meetings and provide input
  • Contribute to the shaping of the centre’s services and goals
  • Take a leadership role on specific projects e.g. review of policy, membership of the employment sub-committee
  • Collaborate with other committee members and the centre managers on a range of projects and initiatives.
  • Support the centre’s virtual presence by sharing social media posts and inviting your network to events.

Time commitment:

1 two hour meeting per month, 15-30mins email communication per week, 1 weekend day of strategic planning per year and occasional social engagements.
