CAB Interviewer - Taupō

Taupō

Our volunteers help people from all walks of life. You will find the work is interesting, stimulating and fun. We work with clients by listening carefully, thoroughly researching the options available to them and by explaining the information in a way they can use it. We also help people access information and services online or make complaints when needed.
We provide all our volunteers with the training, tools and ongoing support necessary to provide our service.

Requirements:

You need to be able to
Relate well to a diverse range of people
Listen effectively and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
Maintain confidentiality
Be respectful of others
Work as part of a team
Demonstrate confidence and competence using a computer to research and record information
Work within CAB aims, values, principles and policies
Learn about and participate in the CAB's commitment to effectiveness for Māori
Give and receive feedback effectively, accept guidance and assistance
Conduct interviews consistent with CAB processes and policies

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Complete one duty of three hours each week at our office based in central Taupō.
Participate in regular learning and development to ensure skills and knowledge are maintained and up to date.
