Would you like to be a 'Ray of Sunshine in someone else's day'? If you live in one of these areas and have time to spend with an older person we would love to hear from you as we have people waiting for their ray of sunshine. There are a growing number of older people who are lonely or socially isolated. In this role volunteers engage and interact with an older person from within their community. This a wonderful opportunity to share life stories, experiences and develop friendships. We will match you with someone with similar interests to you but time is the greatest gift you can give.

Requirements:

Friendly, trustworthy, reliable, excellent spoken English communication skills, enjoy talking to older people, good listening skills.
You must be over 18 to apply for this role.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

An hour a week on a regular basis suitable to volunteer and client.
