Are you passionate about literacy and eager to make a meaningful impact in your community? The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust (RYALT) is looking for a dedicated volunteer Literacy Coach in Te Awamutu to support an adult learner on their journey to improved literacy skills.

What You'll Do - As a Literacy Coach, you’ll:

Requirements:

We’re seeking someone with:

  • A background in education (preferred but not essential).
  • Patience and a friendly, empathetic personality.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with fluency in both.
  • Reliability and a commitment to making a difference.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:
  • 1-2 hours weekly.
  • Long term commitment preferred.
