The Hamilton Hearing Association is a not-for-profit organisation supporting and advocating for all people with hearing loss and their families/whaanau in our community, including schools and rest homes. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our committee!

Why Join Our Committee?

  • We are very passionate about education and support for those living with hearing loss and deafness.
  • We run 2 regular fundraisers annually to support the work that we do. There is no obligation for you to assist with the fundraiser, but we would love your support.
  • To remain active in our community we need a committee/quorum to operate.
  • Bring your fresh ideas and excitement to our team.

Requirements:
  • Ability to attend a monthly meeting.
  • Ability to attend annual general meeting.
  • Has a community spirit.
  • Has empathy & understanding of those living with hearing loss.
  • Enjoys working in a group.
  • A great sense of humour.
Time commitment:
  • Attend a 1 to 2 hour monthly committee meeting, 3rd Monday of every month
  • Attend 2 regular events per year, up to 2 hourly shifts is often required for these events (if possible).

We are able to be flexible and change the day/time of monthly committee meetings to suit the right candidate.
