Waikato Marching Association Inc
Marching Waikato Assn is based in Hamilton and we provide sporting opportunities for females, (though males are welcome) ages 4years upwards. We are all volunteers and rely on our families for all our needs. We have a current membership of 182 members but are always encouraging to any new members. We host competitions for our 10 competitive teams each Saturday from the beginning of Nov, until mid-march. School holidays excluded. So a total of 9 Saturdays. Our teams train from June to perfect their routines and skills. As well as this they all need to fundraise for their seasonal requirements, their fees, uniforms, team levies, travel and accommodation to Island and National events, and all other team needs. A lot of volunteer hours for families, to be able to commit their child to our sport. Our Assn is administered by a committee of 11 volunteers, who are also mainly coaches, judges, or other team officials as well.
