Waikato Ostomy Society
Our vision is to provide information, education and to promote health care to all ostomates within the Waikato, King Country and Thames Valley regions.
The Waikato Ostomy Society is a volunteer based organisation dedicated to assisting all persons with intestinal or urinary tract diversions by providing emotional support and experienced practical help.
Mission Statement
To help create a better every day life for all ostomates.
To encourage and support scientists and surgeons in the betterment of knowledge and surgical techniques.
To provide assistance in all its forms to ostomates both pre and post-operative and at all other times.
Aims
To provide information services through membership, to families, personal caregivers, friends and other interested persons to increase their understanding of the conditions and adjustments which may be necessary for achieving a long and productive life and reintegration fully back into the community
