Pirongia Te Aroaro o Kahu Restoration Society aims to protect, nurture and recognise the ecological, cultural and recreational values of Mt Pirongia.
We ensure the physical and spiritual integrity of the Mountain is preserved in accordance with Maori tikanga (custom and historical importance)
We uphold and respect the accumulated Maori history and knowledge concerning Mt Pirongia and our activities
We aim to heighten awareness and increase community involvement in the restoration and conservation of the ecological, cultural and recreation value of Mt Pirongia
We encourage research which will support the objects of the Society
We hold meetings, print and circulate material, advertise and publicise - or do any other activity that enables us to further the objects of the Society
We provide financial, physical and material support to enable the above activities.
