New Zealand Red Cross - Disaster Welfare and Support Team
The aim of Red Cross is to help improve the lives of vulnerable people, both around the world and within our own community.
Red Cross Disaster Welfare and Support Team volunteers respond to emergencies in communities across New Zealand. Team members are trained in a variety of skills, from first aid to ground-based rescue, which benefit both themselves and the New Zealand Community.
You will find team members in Civil Defence centres - the friendly faces looking after you and your family - and you will find them on the ground, mucking in and getting on with the job.
