• The Waikato A&P Show is one of the oldest events in New Zealand – established in 1892. The weekend is full of traditional animal competitions, heaps of entertainment for the Whānau and supports local with a range of outdoor market stalls. The Waikato A&P Show is a unique event that has brought urban and rural communities together for over 100 years.

• The Waikato Show is all about fun and connecting the people of the Waikato by experiencing the multiple cultures in our region through arts, entertainment and food. From its early days as an Agricultural and Dairy Show in 1907, the Waikato Show is unique in New Zealand and has grown to become a showcase of the Waikato. It celebrates and offers a taste of the region’s diverse communities, organisations, and businesses.

• The annual First Credit Union Christmas Parade is a key event in the Christmas calendar for Hamiltonians. A fantastic family event for the young and the young at heart! Showing Waikato organised the First Credit Union Christmas Parade 2022 on behalf of the Hamilton Christmas Charitable Trust.

• The iconic Christmas tree in Garden Place is 27 feet high – that’s over 6 stories high! In 2022, Showing Waikato organised the Hamilton Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on behalf of the Hamilton Christmas Charitable Trust. Preparation for this event included constructing the 27 foot Christmas Tree that stands in Garden Place from late November until early January and lights up every night from 9pm.
