Rosy Women's Retail Store Team Lead

Purpose of the Role: To provide leadership to the retail volunteers and to allocate the daily tasks related to the smooth running of the shop and provide excellent customer service to our customers.

A keen eye for detail is required, an ability to communicate to people from all backgrounds and a love of clothes and fashion.

Requirements:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver efficient and consistent services and maintain excellent presentation of the retail shop and window displays and provide excellent customer service
  • Attend Team Leader meetings (1pm on the first Tuesday following each monthly Board meeting, changes to date and time will be communicated prior to the board meeting)
  • Ensure adequate volunteer capacity for the day's work - wherever possible 2 retail volunteers during opening hours which can include the TL.
  • Coordinate and communicate tasks to be completed and keep your team updated with any other relevant information.
  • Communicate with other Team Leaders at the end of the week on how sales have been and any feedback to the wider teams
  • Update your team regularly on Policies and Procedures to ensure all relevant guidelines are adhered to
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained and adhered to:
  • Refresh and update your team on Health & Safety procedures regularly including sharing best practices and learnings
  • Oversee and manage donations, price stock and manage stock levels for Rosy. Communicate with the office any stationery, labels, or support materials required
  • Complete referee checks for new volunteer stylist applicants. Induct and train new volunteers. Conduct Rosy volunteer stylist reviews annually
  • Ensure your team member contacts and details document is kept up to date, new volunteers added, those resigning removed - please communicate with our Funding and Virtual Coordinator
  • Show appreciation for team member contributions and recognise specific achievements. This includes time offered and emphasis on quality of work also
  • Any other reasonable tasks for the effective running of Rosy that the Executive Manager has asked - including supporting with occasional events to promote the business
  • Keep the Executive Manager updated about any issues that arise, comments of appreciation/feedback from customers, volunteer achievements/ideas used.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Up to 12 hours per week - Usually 8 hours over two days
We are currently open Thursday and Friday 10am to 2pm
In the future we'll also open Saturday morning 9am to 1pm (approx)
