Aroha Cruise In is a huge event that draws in custom cars and show vehicles from throughout the whole of New Zealand and we are looking for volunteers to join our team and help direct vehicles into the right car parks and areas for display, on the morning of the event. There will be two volunteer meetings prior to the event, and an additional briefing on the morning of the Aroha Cruise In. You will be paired with an experienced team member. You'll greet drivers and help them manoeuvre into the right spaces, making sure the cars are parked correctly. This crucial help makes all the difference to our event's success and enables the public to view and appreciate each entrant. You'll work with a team of several others to get this done.

Requirements:

You will spend a bit of time on your feet. You must have patience and be able to give good physical directions using hand signals. Vehicles vary in size and shape, so having some common sense and being able to think on your feet is important. We work as a team and are looking for volunteers who want to help us make this event the best one yet.
Aroha Cruise In volunteers are supplied with a customised t-shirt which you are more then welcome to keep and refreshments.
As part of our recruitment process you will need to supply a reference that we can contact.

Time commitment:

Vehicles start arriving from as early as 6.00am - by 10.30am you would be finished. (Early finish means you can enjoy the rest of the event).
This early start time is a requirement.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
