Music Director

Hamilton

Marching Waikato is looking for a person to confidently take over the playing of our competition music at our local competitions.

Music is provided by our teams individually and emailed to the Director of Music to load onto our computer. All gear is supplied, though it would be helpful for our new person to be able to store this gear in a safe and dry environment and bring it along each competition day.

Our music is known around NZ marching for having good sound and quality and our existing Music Director is happy to help introduce someone new to the role, so support and training is provided.

Requirements:

Setting up the music gear is important so the person must have the knowledge and confidence to be able to do this.
We have good equipment that we keep maintained and in good working order.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, enjoys working as part of a team, and likes the idea of supporting the creative side of our sport.

Time commitment:

Our competitions are held on Saturdays starting at around midday, but this includes a short set up prior to that.
Generally, we are finished by no later than 2.30pm. It's about 3 hours in total for each competition.
This season our days are: 12th, 19th & 26th November 2022 and 11th, 18th & 25th February, and 4th March 2023.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
