Guitar Buddy

Mr W. has a passion for country music. He owns a guitar but does not know how to play it. He is looking to find someone that will teach him how to play, so he can learn how to use his guitar and play some tunes. (He has a few favorite ones in mind).

Ideal outcome: Mr W. will learn the basics of the guitar and learn how to play his favourite songs, whilst enjoying the company and connection with a like-minded person.

Requirements:

Things to know & ideal buddy:

  1. Mr W. he would like to learn from his home in Hamilton
  2. His house has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
  3. Ideally buddy will have their own guitar

So if you are:
• A good communicator
• Have basic knowledge of playing guitar
• A good motivator - positively keep people focused & are encouraging
• Have a good sense of humor, not too serious
• Flexible and not too rigid in your teacher style
• Able to plan and organise
• Able to share learning in different styles e.g. sound; physical
• Not shy
• Calm and patient (don't overtalk to enable others to learn)

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

10am ideal (between 10am and 4pm can be arranged)

Days preferred: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday

At least 1-2 hours per week
