Outdoor Furniture Maker

Along the 2 km art-in-nature trail visitors often take a break to picnic when they visit the sculpture park and arboretum. The park has a few picnic tables and chairs but recently a generous donor gave the Trust big slabs of macrocarpa so the park can have more outdoor furniture for visitors.

Your input ensures the Trust continues to provide a place of creative and environmental inspiration. Please note - the Sculpture Park is located approximately 16 kilometres (heading towards Morrinsville) from Hamilton CBD and a similar distance from Cambridge.

By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s): Goal 4 – Quality Education

Carpentry or cabinet making skills and experience. You need a proven background in the use of hand and power tools. It is expected that fundamental health and safety measures will be observed. The park has the tools that will be needed. Cutting and some assemblage of tables and benches will be in the park barn.

If you are "hands on" with lots of creativity and common sense, enjoy access to the outdoors and have attention to detail - this is the role for you!
