Volunteers are at the heart of Habitat for Humanity New Zealand. Thousands of people volunteer in New Zealand or overseas with us each year,working towards our mission statement, 'a world where everyone has a decent place to live'.
The opportunity shop in Glenview raises funds to support our mission to build homes for people in need. Saturday Retail assistants are needed to work within the store 10am-2pm. Duties include customer interaction, transactions at our till, processing cash and card payments, tidying and re-hanging clothes, sorting donations and just general shop maintenance to keep the shop looking good.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainability Goals:

You will need to be courteous and friendly, with a focus on customer service. Have good communication skills, as you will be interacting with customers of all ages
and backgrounds. Whilst this is a business, we want you to enjoy yourself whilst working here, so a good sense of humour is a blessing.!
Good levels of concentration is a must, as whilst working the till, you will be handling cash, and processing card payments.
4 hours on a Saturday.
