This role is to build the relationship between the Trust and companies in the Waikato. The Trust currently relies on park entry fees, donations, volunteers, and funding applications to cover running costs.
The Trust wants the park to remain accessible to visitors by keeping the cost of entry fees low ($15/adult; $5/child). In order to be financially sustainable, the Trust recognises opportunities for companies to utilise the park as a superb setting for activities and services to businesses including:
• Entertaining clients - at the opening of a sculpture event
• Christmas parties for staff and clients
• Team building and bespoke training
• Staff volunteering
Company relationships will differ in the way they might support the park, some might like to offer sponsorships, others may considered purchasing services provided by the Trust.
One idea that needs researching is to establish a ‘Corporate Friends of the Park’ or ‘Corporate Partners’ to initiate an on-going relationship with businesses interested in the future of the park.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s):
Goal 3 – Good Health & Well-Being
