Creative Sewing Skills

Home Based, Hamilton

Know how to sew already or want to give it a go? We need both kinds of people to help with the making of some children's costumes for the Christmas Parade at the end of the year. The plan is for the new costumes to have a 5 year lifespan. There are some fun costumes to work on this year and the work can be spread throughout the year to make it less time consuming. Some maintenance and repairs to our existing costume stock also need to be taken care of. We are hoping to form a small team who can decide when, where and the timing for the work required. You will be able to work either with the group or at your own home.

Requirements:

If you can sew, and machine and/or overlocker experience, that would be great, but we are also happy to have people on board who would love to learn.
Creative skills are important, and you need to be able to work well in a team environment.

Time commitment:

It is hoped that having a team of costume people will mean that the work can be spread out over the year, and completed as and when you are able.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
