This is a governance role with a focus on ensuring our organisation achieves its mission, goals and objectives. Your role is to provide leadership and direction so that we continue to meet the needs of our community. You will support the Committee Chair and monitor our progress against the strategic plan - providing support and advice where needed. We are a well organised committee that works collaboratively and effectively.
Some knowledge and experience in a previous governance role would be desirable, along with an interest in budgeting and community well-being. You need to be a good communicator, be able to work collaboratively, and have an understanding of financial reporting. Ideally you are connected to your community and have some time to commit to this role in an ongoing capacity. If you have an area of expertise such as employment law, marketing, funding, policy development etc. that would be great too.
The Governance Committee meets every 6 weeks during the day.
