Sculpture Maintenance

This is a varied and interesting role that first entails you to learn a method of maintaining and cleaning the sculptures and installations that form the 2 kilometre trail visitors take when they visit the sculpture park and arboretum. Your hands-on work will focus on cleaning, protecting, coating and caring for a variety of works. You will become an expert at maintaining and preserving certain pieces. Your input ensures we continue to provide a place of creative and environmental inspiration.
Please note - the Sculpture Park is located approximately 16 kilometres (heading towards Morrinsville) from Hamilton CBD.

This role is largely performed outdoors and requires you to use chemical/solvents in a safe way. Personal protective clothing and equipment is provided to keep you safe - along with training. Reaching, kneeling and climbing ladders may also be part of the role, depending on which sculptures you work with. If you are "hands on" with lots of common sense, enjoy working outdoors and have attention to detail - this is the role for you!

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
