Our organisation is looking for someone to assist on our equipment delivery van. You will be delivering medical equipment to patient homes - some assembly required, then collecting as required. Portable Hospital Beds, Electric Chairs, Commodes etc. This can be a non driving position or alternatively driving can be a shared role.
There are always two people on each shift, travelling together. You must have a reasonable level of fitness and able to lift the equipment. HT License is NOT required. We always supply our volunteers with morning and afternoon tea.
You will need to have a good command of the English language and have empathy towards others. We would expect you to be reliable and have a commitment of at least 4 months. You will be helping to deliver an important service to our patients and families within the Waikato region. You will get to meet a diverse range of people, stepping into their world with a smiling face, in their time of crisis. We provide morning and afternoon tea for our volunteers. Get to work in a friendly environment with a great team.

A cheerful friendly personality is required. Empathy and Compassion to all people is a must as you are working within the Palliative Care environment.
To be a patient facing volunteer, it is mandatory that you be double vaccinated.
Hours 8.30am - 4pm on a Tuesday. (Often you are finished well before 4pm)
