Waikato Rocks Trust is a charitable organisation promoting our people's creations, especially the music and dance of the youth in Waikato. Our journey started in 2010, in a rural radio station in Raglan and then extended to FreeFM89.0 and Raglan Community radio. Since then, we have organised several events, including 32 weekly NZ music episodes for SKY Television for free. Currently, we have two annual events Christmas at the Lake and Raglan Music and Dance Fest, and a 12-month project Tunes of Waikato. All of our activities are free to our people, and we don't generate any revenue.
We are seeking two Trustees to join the team with new ideas to serve our community. Are you passionate about cultural events, music, dance, minority groups and supporting the youth? There is no need to have any experience to be a Trustee, all you need is a creative mind for this modern digital world, and we welcome all age groups but expect a level of maturity for this governance role.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s):
Goal 10 – Reduced Inequalities
Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities
