Kia Pakari te Hapori - Strengthening Community

We deliver, prepare and distribute up to 300 meals at a time to those in need in our community. We support people, without judgment and regardless of circumstances. Demand for meals has increased and we would love to recruit a volunteer who can assist with coordinating some of the activities that support our work. You will be developing and maintaining a roster of volunteers and the spreadsheets that coordinate the deliveries of meals. You need to be able to create a stakeholder matrix so we can see at a glance what support, partnerships and resources we have. Other systems will need to be developed based on your experience and recommendations. There will be a close relationship with the Trustees and supporting with administrative activities.

Requirements:

You must have demonstrable experience in creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets. You need to be systems focused and have a strong solution-driven focus. Relationships are very important to the work we do, so you need to have very good communication skills - both written and verbal, uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and connect with all cultures. Your input has a direct impact on ensuring people in our community receive a healthy meal when it is needed, so you must be reliable and trustworthy. We are looking for someone who can commit to this role, is organised, positive, and able to work as part of a very dedicated team.

Time commitment:

Initially this may take 8-10 hours a week to get everything in place - then approximately 4 hours a week. These hours can be worked any time to fit in with your schedule.
