In this role you will be assisting staff to actively supervise children in the Out of School Care programme, being aware of their whereabouts at all times.
You will actively participate and interact with children while being involved in all of the activities. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership/coaching abilities by running small games and activities. You'll gain lots of useful work experience that can translate into other opportunities.
You will be involved in the set-up and clean-up of activities and facility areas used by the children. As this role is working with children, all volunteers will need to complete the police vetting process before starting placement, and are also required to complete the YMCA safeguarding training.
This is a fun role where you can gain some skills, put existing skills into action and get a huge sense of satisfaction from making a positive difference in the life of a young person.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainability Goals:
Goal 3 - Good health and well being
Goal 4 - Quality Education
Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities
Can you commit to 4 hours a week? or more?
