Tuakau Op Shop Volunteers


Tuakau Union Parish Opportunity Shop volunteers ensure our opportunity shop can stay open and raise funds to support the services we offer the community. You will be assisting people to access reasonably priced goods. Tasks include:

  • Providing a warm welcome to customers and assisting them to find what they require
  • Ensuring the shop is clean and tidy
  • Changing displays and recycling stock to keep the shop looking inviting
  • Pricing stock
  • Sorting incoming donations

You must be welcoming, friendly and positive. We are looking for volunteers who can work cooperatively within our team culture. Ideally you have some customer service skills or be willing to learn. Someone who is organised, reliable and able to communicate with others, would be a welcome addition to our team.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

A minimum of one shift a week 9.30 - 2.30 would be ideal. We can work around your availability - a morning or afternoon commitment would also be great.
