Food Distribution Co-ordinator


We need help to organise this, we receive food from Kaivolution or Salvation Army, in packs ready for families. The tasks involved will be:

  • pick up food from Kaivolution (at Raleigh Street Church) or other local providers
  • contacting families to let them know they can pick up their food box that day
  • helping the family get the food to their car (we have trolleys)
  • with occasional delivery of food to their home if they don't have transport to collect it
    Some other food donations come in weekly which can be added to families food boxes, for example; frozen meat, frozen meals, fruit & veg.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

We provide this service Monday to Friday, with the Kaivolution food boxes usually ready between 11.30am to 12pm. Ideally we need volunteers to be available 11.30am to 1pm as a minimum, families can collect their food box up to 4.30pm. If there are only certain days of the week or certain hours that you can volunteer for this role, please let us know and we will work with more volunteers to cover this role.
