The Refugee Orientation Centre Trust helps former refugees integrate well into the community through educational programmes.
We are looking for volunteers to help translate important information for our refugee communities to assist our 10-week basic computer training program. ROC's programs help refugees gain the necessary knowledge and skills to find their feet in Aotearoa. With your help, our refugees will be able to continue accessing information, learn and remain connected to our services without a communication barrier. This translating job is based out of our Frankton ROC Office. Our main languages that need translating are Dari/Persian. Despite the current circumstances, we aim for refugees to be as safe and secure as possible.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainability Goals ;
Goal 4 - Quality Education
Goal 10 - Reduced Inequalities
This computer course runs for 10-weeks, every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm.
