Housebound Book Delivery - Taupo

Taupo District Library selects books or audio material for library members that can no longer get to the library. We rely on volunteers to deliver and collect the material each month. It is normally the second Thursday of each month. There are at present 25 housebound clients and the number if items requested by them range from 3 items a month to as many as 25.


Provide own vehicle to deliver and collect boxes. The boxes can be quite heavy, so whoever is interested in this should note that lifting is involved.
If the person finds they cannot do a delivery on occasion, inform he housebound service organizer to allow them time to put something else in place.

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Depending on the number of boxes you deliver, it could take one hour or as many as three hours on the second Thursday of each month.
