Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival needs Zero Waste Heroes who are passionate about the environment and recycling and want to support our goal of having a zero waste festival. We are working closely with Para Kura from Raglan to implement Zero Waste strategies for the Festival. Matua X will also be on site for the festival encouraging people to recycle. The food trucks and beverage suppliers are also providing recyclable materials.
A Zero Waste Hero will be running one of two sifting and sorting stations at the festival. Audiences will bring their 'rubbish' to the station and will be encouraged to sift and sort their waste, with our heroes, and place it in the appropriate bin.

Zero Waste Heroes will be supplied with the right gear to be safe from cuts and scratches and will work under a gazebo to protect them from the sun.

This is a new role for the festival and we are very excited to be on the pathway towards zero waste.
