This is a rewarding role that requires you to welcome people to our wellness hub and provide them with information about the purpose of the hub, chat with them while they wait to see staff and help them access the information that is readily available. Part of this role is to voyage out from the Hauora ihub and link people into the services available. You'll help keep resources tidy and children busy while their families talk with staff, and assist with any special promotions and events that may be taking place. There are a few information gathering and form filling activities that you will assist with also.
Ideally you are reliable and trustworthy as this role requires a high degree of confidentiality. Some knowledge of te reo Maori and tikanga Maori would be preferable. We are looking for a mature person who is confident approaching members of the public to encourage them to use the ihub. You need to be warm and encouraging with people and must have an interest in improving health outcomes for our population. Ideally you can commit to an ongoing roster position of a morning or afternoon once a week.
One rostered shift of four hours a week.
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
