In this role volunteers are trained to provide crisis support to victims of crime and trauma, wherever or however it is required. For front-line Community Support Workers this can be a crisis call out, over the phone, people’s homes or work places, at a crime scene, court, hospital, at the police station or a neutral venue of choice.
We provide full and comprehensive training for all roles associated with Victim Support through our training development programmes.

All Support workers will be required to be competent in managing their own time and keeping commitments made to be on the roster and supporting victims.
You must be aged 18 + to apply for this role. Must be a New Zealand Citizen or have permanent residency.
Applicants require a full drivers license and a car. Travel costs are reimbursable.
Roster shifts are usually eight to twelve hours long across a 24 hour roster. You can advise what shift work best for you. Over and above the time on roster additional time will be required for on going case work and data entry.
