Our Children's creative holiday programme has been operating for 30 years, and we focus on developing visual arts and performing arts skills for 5 - 13 year olds, together with a lot of group work and collaboration. We seek people who are responsible, mature and can demonstrate that they are able to work appropriately with children. In particular we seek candidates with abilities and interests in the creative visual arts, craft, storytelling and drama at introductory level at least.
By participating in this volunteering opportunity you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainability Goals ;
Goal 3 - Good health and well-being
Goal 4 - Quality education

During normal programme times we operate daily from 8:15am to 4:15pm. The programme is delivered in multi-day blocks: Mon / Tues, a 2 day BLOCK for art & craft projects - Wed,Thur & Fri which is a 3-day BLOCK for drama / stage craft ending with a show on Friday afternoon. We would require volunteers to be available at minimum for full blocks but preferably for a whole week at a time or even for both weeks. Most volunteers find they gain the most useful knowledge and capabilities by attending the full 2 weeks. Days and roles may be negotiated with volunteers on a case by case basis.
