We are looking for Computer Mentors to join our team. We need you to help our customers improve their digital literacy. Our customers will be using the computers to complete their CVs and cover letters, set up email and social media accounts, send emails, complete job applications, download eBooks, and many other computer related tasks. Your digital experience will include PC and other devices such as tablets and smartphones. Experience with computers is essential however the most important aspect of this role is the ability to teach. We are looking for people with patience and the ability to communicate effectively to help on a rostered basis, sessions are two hours long. Work with our staff to provide a quality and much needed service. We are looking for someone who can commit to regular time slots for at least six months. Volunteers will work with a wide range of people, increasing their cultural awareness. They will gain experience in helping people learn about technology and improve their knowledge and understanding of our services.


Must have demonstrable digital skills. Good command of written and oral English. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to teach - no formal qualification required. Interpersonal skills.Patient and be able to build rapport with many different people.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

One half day per week.
