After School - Ball Games Assistant


Join a fun, active, motivated staff working with children of varying skill levels at a community centre built in an area of lower socio-economic, disadvantaged families.
This role is assisting regular staff member with basketball, dodge-ball etc. activities for mostly primary-aged children at an after school drop in centre, during school term time.
Add to CV, skills working with children, all the benefits of physical activity, fun and recreation, assisting children from lower socio-economic area, opportunity to teach, mentor, support children.

Able to assist physically or through voice - wheelchair-bound assistance could work well, no previous knowledge of ballgames required. Willing to give it a go, see needs and assist without prompting while working as part of a staff team.

In all of our programmes, volunteers need to be able to independently lead and direct the young people attending and fulfil practical tasks.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Wednesdays and/or Thursdays 1.5 hours per session.
