Teach students how to play the guitar in a small group setting at Waikeria Prison. Gain experience in leadership and tutoring. For our learners, these skills could make a real difference - enabling them to feel proud through achievement whilst connecting them to something they enjoy.

Requirements:

Should have lots of enthusiasm. Confident and patient.
Due to the nature of this volunteer role anyone with a criminal conviction may not be accepted for this position.
PLEASE NOTE - A car is required to get to site as it is not serviced by public transport.

The Department Of Corrections is still under the COVID vaccination mandate, so at this stage all volunteers will require vaccination, including booster, to work on site.

A Police background check is required for this role.
