Linen Sorter & Organiser

Taupō

If you enjoy working with linen - from vintage to present day, then this is the role for you! We are lucky to receive lots of linen, bedding and blankets that are in big demand in our opportunity shop. We require volunteers to sort through, organise and categorize them, do any mending if necessary and then prepare them for sale with an iron. They are then sold in our Op Shop which funds all the costs with the animals we take in and give new lives to. You can do this role from home if you wish as items can be dropped to you in the Taupō area.

You will be working with a fun team - so bring your sense of humour with you. You will be supporting a unique and great cause. You will meet new people and have lots of fun whilst doing something that interests you.

Requirements:

You will be sorting through a variety of linen items and will be shown how to get these ready for sale. You need some common sense, be organised and reliable, and happy to work collaboratively with our team.
Vaccination for Covid-19 is not a requirement for this role.

Time commitment:

To be negotiated when you are available for a shift, or if you do not have transport or would find it easier to do some sorting in your own home we could drop off some boxes of linen for you to sort for us to collect.

Getting started:
The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below. We will then put you in touch directly with the organisation for more information on the role and how to proceed.
