Trustee - Treasurer

We are looking for a new Trustee to fill the position of Treasurer. You will be a part of a cohesive and dynamic Trust Board, and will meet monthly to guide the strategic direction of the organisation.

The role will include tasks such as: producing monthly Xero reports (profit/loss, budget variance, balance sheet etc), preparing annual financials for the AGM, and preparing the annual budget.

Requirements:

Must have a reasonable understanding of financial systems.
Experience and knowledge of Governance roles are preferred and that volunteers have an understanding of social inequalities and how they impact single parent families.
Must be able to communicate well with others and work in a diverse team.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The board meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 5:15pm. Meetings last 1-1.5 hours.
There will also be some reading of reports etc during the month.
