This role involves greeting visitors to the Information Centre, assisting with travel, accommodation and activity enquiries, the sale of our I-SITE tours and quality locally produced souvenirs. Tasks also include stock refill and stocktaking, light cleaning, cash and Eftpos, data entry and customer interaction. Full training will be given, along with ongoing support. Gain valuable working experience and be part of a great team and our thriving tourist industry.
This is a fun role where you will meet and interact with a variety of interesting people. You'll gain lots of satisfaction from helping them discover the many activities, places and people, within our region.

You need to be well presented with good communication skills - both conversational and written. Customer service experience is an advantage in this role, as you must feel comfortable welcoming our guests to Cambridge.
A good standard of conversational English is required.
Computer skills are not required but helpful.
Ideally you have good knowledge of the Cambridge and Waipa area- or a willingness to learn. A positive can do attitude is essential..
If you have an outgoing, friendly personality and are reliable, flexible and honest, then this is the role for you!
Two or three hours on Sunday morning or Wednesdays. We also have a need for casual volunteers during week days if this would suit you better.
