Habitat for Humanity Central North Island is a not-for-profit Christian organisation that works in partnership with people of goodwill and families in housing need, to eliminate sub-standard housing by building, renovating and selling simple, decent houses on an affordable basis.
To volunteer on a house build you do not need building experience. However if you do have a trades background and would like to volunteer your time to us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
The purpose of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore (second hand goods store) is to raise funds for the HFH Hamilton & Greater Waikato building programme.
We are always looking for new volunteers to help in the ReStore. We depend upon reliable volunteers to maintain the high standard of tidiness in store and provide top quality customer service. Volunteering in the ReStore has lots of benefits, is a great way to learn new skills, gain experience, meet people, and give back to the community.
