Arts For Health Community Trust
Arts for Health is a community based organisation operated by a small group of staff and volunteers. Skilled staff at Arts for Health provide ongoing activities for adults recovering from illness, injury and disability. We promote a holistic approach to health in our community.
A large range of Art and Craft is available e.g. painting, card making, collage, paper making, stone carving and a lot more.
Clients choose projects and work at their own pace. Our staff help clients to participate and enjoy themselves. We encourage people to discover the joys of being creative in a caring environment, Clients are welcome to attend one day (or half a day) per week.
Our community base is located at Ward Park Arts & Crafts Centre, corner Ward St & Seddon Road and is open 5 days per week.
We also have volunteers who go into various wards at Waikato Hospital doing arts and crafts with long-stay patients.
