There are 16,000 SCOUTS in New Zealand, and this number is growing every day. We equip young people aged 6 to 26 with life skills of problem-solving, teamwork, social responsibility, and healthy living; and provide them with access to a large range of activities including conservation, gardening, healthy living, water and snow skills, animals, art and craft, technology, helping others, emergency services, First Aid, cooking, photography, performing arts, science, specialised caving and flying, life skills and an awards scheme. We encourage the physical, mental, social and spiritual development of young people so they may take a constructive place in society.
We provide a safe environment where youth can learn life skills in camping, hiking, team building, community service plus many other challenging indoor/outdoor activities
It's a great way to meet people and form friendships.
Your role as a Kaiārahi will be to support Kea or Cubs and help them lead their own adventurous programme. Our aim at Kirikiriroa & St Peter's Scout Group is to enable our youth members to lead lives that positively impact our communities.
