Volunteering Waikato invites you to attend the September Volunteer Co-ordinators’ Network Meeting, a space for those working in the area of volunteer management to share ideas, challenges and questions with staff from other community organisations working in this specialised area.
SEPTEMBER TOPIC: Keeping Volunteers Through Times of Change
The Waikato A&P Association has more than 125 year history in the Waikato delivering the Waikato Famous A&P Show. The Association is 18 months in to a new management structure and is challenged with protecting the culture of volunteering while delivering safe and professional events that are sustainable into the future. Cara will explore some of the success and challenges associated with this. In addition she will discuss the special relationship they have with Hamilton Boys’ High School who are involved with team volunteering for them.
We allow time for networking over refreshments at the beginning and end of the meeting and encourage you to take the opportunity to do so. Volunteering Waikato staff will be available for any specific questions or discussion regarding your volunteers or your organisation before and after the meeting.
Date: Thursday, September 19, 2019, 1-2.30pm
Venue: Trust Waikato, 4 Little London Lane, Hamilton.
There is limited parking at Trust Waikato, (lower carpark), and free on street parking for two hours.
