Hosted by: Lorraine Hooper, Volunteer Co-ordinator Volunteering Waikato
Volunteering Waikato invites you to attend the May Volunteer Co-ordinators’ Network Meeting, a space for those working in the area of volunteer management to share ideas, challenges and questions with staff from other community organisations working in this specialised area.
MAY TOPIC: Volunteer Recognition
The theme for National Volunteer Week, June 16-22 is Whiria Te Tangata, Weaving the People Together. It is important that volunteers are aware of the impact their contribution is making in our organisations, and our communities, and that they are recognised in a meaningful and appropriate way. Bring along any ideas you have about how you intend to recognise your volunteers, or that you have done in the past, to ensure they know that they are valued.
There will also be an opportunity to visit our new offices at Trust House, 2 London Street in the beautiful heritage building we call home from May 13.
We allow time for networking over refreshments at the beginning and end of the meeting and encourage you to take the opportunity to do so. Volunteering Waikato staff will be available for any specific questions or discussion regarding your volunteers or your organisation before and after the meeting.
Date: THURSDAY, May 23rd 2019, 10.00-11.30am
Venue: Trust Waikato, 4 Little London Lane
PLEASE RSVP by Monday, 20th May.
We rely on RSVPs for catering, seating and resource purposes.
PLEASE NOTE - this meeting is available to Volunteering Waikato members only!
Open until Monday 20 May 2019 at 4:00pm
