Volunteering Waikato invites you to attend the March 2020 Volunteer Co-ordinators’ Network Meeting, a space for those working in the area of volunteer management to share ideas, challenges and questions with staff from other community organisations working in this specialised area.
TOPIC: Recruiting volunteers to work with vulnerable clients
When we work with vulnerable clients, selecting the right volunteer for the role is vitally important. We will discuss considerations when advertising roles and working through the selection process so you can recruit the volunteer with the most suitable skills. Age Concern will share their recruitment process and systems and you will have an opportunity to share what processes your organisation uses.
We allow time for networking over refreshments at the beginning and end of the meeting and encourage you to take the opportunity to do so. Volunteering Waikato staff will be available for any specific questions or discussion regarding your volunteers or your organisation before and after the meeting.
