WORKSHOP: This two-hour workshop looks at the basic principles of moving referrals from the applicant stage into being productive volunteers. There is increasing evidence that volunteers want quick processes with minimum bureaucracy. How do you balance this need without cutting corners on an effective recruitment process?
This workshop would suit leaders of volunteers who are new to their roles or just beginning to develop the skills needed to work effectively with volunteers. Topics covered include:

• What information do you need to gather and why
• The interview process
• Vetting and referee checks
• Agreements and expectations
• The onboarding process
• Induction tips
