    Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society - Fundraising

    The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society is committed to improving community wellbeing by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in our region.

    Funds raised from Daffodil Day and Relay For Life will help the Cancer Society provide free support services to people who need them, fund crucial cancer research and educate the public on ways to reduce the risk of cancer.

    Support services provided by the Cancer Society include:

    • Home visits from experienced cancer liaison nurses
    • Emotional support and counselling
    • Accommodation at the Cancer Society’s Lions Lodge, for people who have to travel for treatment
    • Exercise programmes
    • Credible and easy-to-understand information
    • Transport to treatment
    • Support groups
    • Therapeutic massage


    This organisation is an approved University of Waikato Employability Plus Programme partner.
