Age Concern provides information and services which empower older people to make their own choices and decisions. We provide regular learning opportunities with workshops, seminars and education programmes - Serving the Needs of Older People.
Services consist of:
* Accredited Visiting Service, Shopping Service
* Fieldworker - providing support, advocacy and assistance to older people in the community
* Elder Abuse & Neglect Prevention - dealing with concerns surrounding abuse of an older persons be it physical, mental, emotional, financial or verbal
* Education - seminars, presentations to groups and projects involving the exchange of ideas and skills between generations, workshops dealing with changes that come with age
* Health Promotion and Training - which includes training resthome staff, health professionals and other agencies
